Christophe Dirickx - scriptwriter

Christophe Dirickx (Antwerp, 1961) studied script writing (post-graduate) at The National Film and Television School in the UK and in Sint Lukas, Brussels. The movie ‘Manneken Pis’ (Frank Van Passel), based on his first screenplay, was selected at the Cannes Film Festival in 1995 in La Semaine de la Critique and there won three prizes.

He also (co)wrote ‘Linkeroever’ (Pieter Van Hees), ‘Villa des Roses’ (Frank Van Passel), ‘Alias’ (Jan Verheyen) and ‘Alles moet weg’ (Jan Verheyen). This year, ‘The Misfortunates’ won the ‘Prix Art et Essai’ during the Directors’ Fortnight at the Film Festival in Cannes.
