Ruben and Felix started their collaboration a number of years ago. Ruben acted as the DOP on '50CC', Felix’ thesis. In 2004, the two joined forces for 'Steve + Sky' and they found each other again in 2007 for ‘With Friends like These’. They were also inseparable on the set of ‘The Misfortunates’.

Previously, Ruben was involved in various capacities in the productions 'Left Luggage', 'Minoes' and 'Manneken Pis' and he manned the camera on several short films, such as ‘Dans met mij' (Dance with Me) by Lenny Van Wesemael. As a DOP, he not only contributed to several TV series such as ‘180’ (Jakob Verbruggen) but also set his stamp on the full-length features ‘Moscow, Belgium’ (Christophe Van Rompaey), ‘Turquaze’ (Kadir Balci) and 'De Steppes' (Vanja d'Alcantara).
